New Banner!

What do you think of the new banner? Pretty snazzy!

Thanks to all that entered the banner competition. It was won by Jezrille De Guzman in EB… well done Jezrille! Her winning banner has been turned into a jpeg and is now on display.

Keep logging on to look out for other new competitions.

Banner Design Competition!

  • Colourful, interesting and imaginative.
  • Hand drawn or computer generated.

Puzzle

I had to meet an Australian, an American and a Canadian at the airport. One of them was called Hank, and as I approached I identified him immediately, despite never having met, seen or spoken to any of them before.

How?

Good luck!

Edit:

The winning response came from Erin Buckley, EB.

Congratulations Erin you have won a Wispa Easter egg.

Correct answers also came from: Katie Hamilton and Clarissa Hewitt

Puzzle

Peter and Mary run a 100 yard race and Peter beats Mary by 10 yards. They run again at the same speeds but now Peter begins 10 yards behind the starting line. Who wins now?

A) Mary wins

B) Peter wins

C) It’s a draw

Good luck :)

Friday 13th March:

Sadly noone solved the puzzle correctly! Though thanks to all those who took part. Maybe next time?

The solution was Peter wins.

If it took him say 10 seconds to travel the 100m. When he has to run 110m at the same speed he does it in 11 seconds. Mary has only travelled 90m when Peter finishes after 10 seconds. So Mary travels 9m each second. So when Peter finishes this time in 11 seconds. At the same speed she only travels 99m, 1m short. So Peter wins.
